Join the ninth annual Great Sierra River Cleanup – Saturday, September 16th 9am – noon.  Held in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day,  the Great Sierra River Cleanup is an opportunity for volunteers to join in efforts all across the state to clean litter and debris from our waterways.

Clean Tahoe and the League to Save Lake Tahoe will be hosting a number of cleanup locations in South Tahoe. Go to the event webpage to choose a cleanup location and to register.

Cleanup locations for this year include:

Lakeview Commons/El Dorado Beach/Regan Beach — led by Clean Tahoe
Zephyr Cove/Zephyr Shoals — led by the League to Save Lake Tahoe
Upper Truckee River from Elks Club to Highway 50 (cleanup from the water – must have your own boat or flotation device) — led by Clean Tahoe
Trout Creek – led by Diana Hamilton
Pope Beach – led by East Bay Cub Scout troop
