Join us at the Great Sierra River Cleanup!

Looking to help keep Lake Tahoe clean and beautiful? Volunteer for the 2013 Great Sierra River Cleanup on Saturday, September 21st from 9-noon! We’ll be joining hundreds of volunteers to help clean up the streams and rivers around our community. You can choose from a number of cleanup sites – pick an area that’s in your neighborhood or that’s special to you and be part of the efforts to keep it clean. Learn more and register at http://tahoecleanup.wordpress.com/.

The Great Sierra River Clean Up, a project of the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, is a growing network of local lake and stream-side community clean ups aimed at keeping the rivers and lakes of the Sierra clean and free of litter pollution. Keeping our alpine waterways clean also protects downstream water quality–from the foothills, to Sacramento, to the Central Valley, the Bay and the ocean.
